Oh I couldn't agree more. Spain has grown so much in the past decades, but the Spaniards still have a long way to go on their economic minds. There's a sort of lack of ambition. But it could also be a matter of priorities. For instance..they rather have their siesta time than make more money. That is also legitimate. About Barajas...since it's an International Airport, it isn't just about making money, but about the people who travel at early or late hours like yourself...if there is no one to sell you a bottle of water, then there should at least be machines for you to get it. Machines that work and are full.
It's a matter of time, I'm sure!
